Dr. James Hendrick, MD, FACP has a passion for providing individualized care to patients who are committed to improving or preserving their health and happiness. He has extensive experience in complex disease management and preventive medicine, which has allowed him to become an expert in effective weight loss, treating weight-related medical problems and preventing obesity-related complications.
He is blessed with a wonderful family, including his wife, Jennifer, their two children and dog. Dr. Hendrick enjoys spending as much time with his family as he can. He enjoys the outdoors and tries to fill any gaps in his schedule with activities such as running, biking, skiing, hiking, and camping.
Dr. Hendrick grew up in Topeka, Kansas and graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Human Biology. He went on to earn the mantle of Medical Doctor from the University of Kansas as well. He completed his internal medicine residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he also practiced as a hospitalist. Dr. Hendrick moved to Fort Collins in 1999, and practiced general internal medicine for 11 years. In 2011, he transitioned to focusing exclusively on being a weight loss physician. He is certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
