The Center for Bone Health focuses on bone mineral density testing by central DXA technology. We employ the latest densitometry technology from Hologic, including a densitometer and integrated imaging software.

James D. Hendrick, MD is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist and serves as Medical Director of the Center for Bone Health in Fort Collins, CO. He has spent more than 10 years interpreting bone density (DXA) studies, predicting fracture risk and also preventing and treating osteoporosis in patients.

Dr. Hendrick provides DXA interpretation and fracture risk assessment in accordance with guidelines from the International Society of Clinical Densitometry, the National Osteoporosis Foundation and the World Health Organization. He strives to provide bone density interpretations that are accurate, complete and also clinically useful to the treating physician.

Getting Started

If you think you should have a bone density test, first talk to your doctor, since you cannot get a bone density test without a doctor’s order. You can download a bone density scan referral form, and give it to your doctor. His or her office can fax it back to us at 877-489-6002 and we will call you to schedule your appointment.
