Some common ultra-processed products are carbonated soft drinks, sweet, fatty or salty packaged snacks, mass produced packaged breads, cookies, pastries and cakes. Sweetened breakfast cereals, "energy" drinks, pasta and pizza dishes, poultry and fish "nuggets" or "sticks". Hot dogs and other reconstituted meat products, "instant" soups, noodles and desserts and many other types of products. A higher percentage of ultra-processed foods in the diet has been associated with heart disease, diabetes, obesity, breast cancer and premature death.
